An Evening with Brian Cox - Thursday 15

Are you a fan of the ABC series titled ‘Wonders Of The Universe’ or ‘Wonders Of The Solar System’ if are a keen astronomer? British scientist Brian Cox is coming to Sydney to host an evening of scientific phenomena at the Capitol Theatre on Thursday August 15 at 8pm. The evening will be full of experiments, CGI visuals that will show the universe and more. There will also be interaction with the audience.

The price for tickets are from $79.00 - $195.00. The show will also be on Friday August 16 at the same time.

If you are a fan of Thai cuisine why not head to Chat Thai. They are located nearby in Campbell Street. When you walk in the first thing you will notice will be seeing the chefs in all their glory, serving up a storm in the open kitchen. There are deco lamps located in the corners of a New York style warehouse room. It has exposed beams and there are overhead fans. A very cool setting indeed! They are open for lunch from 10am - 5pm and for dinner from 5pm - 10pm. you can also get supper here between the hours of 9:30pm - 2am. The price per person is up to $50.

Dinner at Queenies - Thursday 15

Queenies restaurant which is located in Surry Hills will be hosting a stoner banquet. This will be a five course dinner. Here is just some of what you can expect to be eating at this banquet. Lobster, Turkey Wings, Pulled Pork And Pineapple Tacos, Rasta Pasta, Cherry Coal Ribs and more; sounds great doesn’t it?  You should book ahead if you want to get a seat as it fills up very quickly. The price is $50 per person.

A Fan Of Art - Thursday 15

Sullivan and Strumph Fine Art will be having an Art Show by Tony Albert. He is based in Brisbane and a member of urban art collective group proppaNOW. There will be portraits of 20 young Aboriginal men that have targets painted onto their chests. They are open Tuesday - Friday 10am - 6pm and on Saturday 10am - 5pm. The price for admission is free.

 

If want to go but you think your kids will get bored why don’t you check out Little Dynamo’s. This is a centre based in Waterloo and they claim that they have the largest indoor playground in the country. They have jumping castles, ball pits, trampolines and more. They are open everyday from 9:30am - 5:30pm but on a Friday they extend their hours until 7pm.

If you do decide to go to any of these venues or events then be sure to look into cheap car rental companies in major cities, like Sydney.
